Detailed Itinerary
ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL

On arrival at the airport in Entebbe, you will be welcomed by our guide and briefed on the 9-day Uganda tour and then proceed to your lodge/Hotel for some rest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Lodge/Hotel: 
Meal plan: Bed & Breakfast

After an early breakfast at the lodge/Hotel in Entebbe, you will hit the road towards Murchison Falls National Park. The journey is 5-6 hours but so interesting as you drive through the countryside enjoying the fresh air away from the cities. You will have a stopover along the way for roadside market fruits and lunch. Proceed to cross the Nile by ferry arriving in the afternoon hours at the park.  You will immediately hike to the top of the falls to enjoy great views of the falls. Drive to your lodge later for dinner and overnight.

Start your day with breakfast at the lodge and head out with your guide for a morning game-viewing experience to explore the different wildlife species in the park. The big five like the elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, leopards, hyenas, warthogs, and several bird species are some of the wildlife animals you will have a chance to set your eyes on. Return to the lodge for lunch, and launch a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls in the afternoon. This is the best opportunity to watch the falls as the Nile forces its way in a 7-meter gorge and explodes at the base. Retire at the lodge later for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will drive off to Kibale Forest National Park for the primates. Enjoy the journey as you drive enjoying great views of the landscape with gardens along the way. Stop for lunch along the way and proceed to Kibale arriving in the afternoon. Head to the briefing area and start trekking the chimps that afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Have an early breakfast ns launch a guided morning nature walk in the forest to learn about the various medicinal plants, spot chimps, monkeys other primate species, and butterfly species. Visit the nearby villages and learn about the local culture. Retire at the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

After breakfast at the lodge, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park (3 hours). Enjoy the drive through this countryside with great views or you can take a nap and let your driver/guide take you to your destination. Retire for lunch at the lodge and launch an afternoon game drive to the Kasenyi area. Look out for lions, large herds of elephants and Buffaloes, and various species of antelopes. Enjoy scenic views of the rolling hills, grasslands, and wooded areas. Drive to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Have a relaxed breakfast at your lodge and go for a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel. Look out to the banks to see Schools of hippos and crocodiles on this channel and several wildlife near the waters feeding and taking a drink on some days. You will then drive out of the park to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park through Ishasha sector home to the tree climbing Lions. Proceed to Bwindi to enjoy great views of the Kigezi area and soon arrive at Bwindi in the evening hours. Dinner and night stay at a lodge in the park.

After breakfast at the lodge, head to the park headquarters for briefing and then start the hike through the thick forest searching for habituated mountain Gorillas. The experience may take between several hours to half a day but worth it when you meet the Gorilla family and get close to a silverback. You will be allowed to spend one full hour with the Gorillas and then return to meet your guide at the starting point. You will then drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After morning breakfast, check out and drive via kigezi rolling hills headed to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah Park. Arrive in the afternoon and have lunch. In the evening go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo for game viewing, bird watching, and scenic viewing experiences.  Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Have a morning breakfast and go for a cultural tour to meet and interact with Ankole cattle farmers. You will learn how different milk products such as Yoghurt, Ghee, and butter are made from milk and the processes they go through.  Return to your lodge for refreshments, check out, and drive out of the park headed to Kampala to catch your connecting flight at Entebbe International Airport.

What to To Think About On This Tour

Gorilla & Chimpanzee tracking is subject to the availability of permits, which are limited to 8 per gorilla group per day and 6 per chimpanzee track per ½ day.

Any Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits required need to be paid for upfront when booking. As soon as funds clear in our account, we will go ahead and purchase.  

Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits are always 100% non-transferable and non-refundable

The RATES are subject to change and are based on Availability with effect from July upon release of the new tariffs from Uganda Wildlife Authority and Rwanda Development Board.

On flights and land-based tours within East Africa, each passenger is limited to a maximum baggage weight of 33 pounds (15 kilograms). This includes the weight of purses and camera equipment in addition to regular luggage. Luggage restrictions are adhered to very strictly and passengers should pack their bags accordingly. Soft-sided luggage or duffels are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles and also on aircraft used throughout East Africa. Dimensions should not exceed 23 inches (58 centimetres) long x 13 inches (33 centimetres) high x 10 inches (25 centimetres) wide.
