Detailed Itinerary
You will be welcomed at the airport by our representative who will also be your guide for the 6 day trip. You will briefly go through the itinerary together and soon transfer to your hotel for overnight accommodation in Entebbe. If time allows, you will explore Entebbe, visiting the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre or the Botanical Gardens for an exciting welcome from the birds and animals.
Set off for Kibale National Park after breakfast at your hotel/lodge. The journey is a 5-6 hours drive rewarding you with amazing sightings of the lush vegetation on the countryside and the beautiful landscapes. Check into your lodge on arrival and enjoy lunch. Afternoon Chimpanzee Trekking to see habituated chimpanzees and other primates. You will be allowed to spend one hour with them and this begins from the time of encounter. You will also see other primates along the way as this park shelters several species of primates. Return to your lodge within the park for dinner and an overnight stay.
In the morning, go for a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland for bird watching and spotting more primate species. Return to the lodge for breakfast, checkout, and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the nearby district of Kasese in the same region. Check into your lodge on arrival and have lunch. Explore the park in an evening game drive and look for wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffes, warthogs, and hippos. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast at the lodge, start your day with a morning game drive to spot early risers and predators like Hyenas and Leopards, and other various wildlife species. Return to the lodge for breakfast and later on lunch. Have your afternoon spent on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is a connection between Lakes Edward and George. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the water, including elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for another exciting wild experience with the endangered mountain Gorillas. You will move straight with no many stopovers to spare time for activities at Bwindi. Check into your lodge on arrival and enjoy lunch. Take a community walk to interact with local people to understand their ways of life. Dinner and overnight at the lodge within the park.
Wake up early for breakfast and drive to the park offices for morning briefing at 7am by park rangers. Hit the jungle and spend the day tracking and observing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Enjoy this lifetime experience for a whole hour in the presence of the habituated mountain Gorillas. Return to meet your guide at the starting point and head to the lodge/restaurant for lunch. Visit the Batwa in the afternoon to learn about their ancient hunting skills and use of herbs for medicine. Retire later at the lodge for your dinner and night stay.
Have an early breakfast and embark on a 7-8 hours journey to Kampala. Stop over at the Uganda equator for some phots and souvenirs at craft shops. Proceed to Kampala to catch up with your flight.
