Detailed Itinerary
ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and meet our representative, you will be briefed about your trip and then drive off to the Hotel booked for you in Entebbe. Relax from the long flight, have dinner and overnight.

Lodge/Hotel: 
Meal plan: Bed & Breakfast

After an early breakfast, you will set off very early to Murchison Falls (about 5-6 hours). Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en route for rhino tracking and birding. Have lunch and proceed to Murchison falls arriving and take an evening game drive to catch up with your Favorite wildlife including Lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and several bird species as you drive through the park. Retire at the lodge for overnight near the park.

Have breakfast at the lodge and launch a Morning game drive to see elephants, lions, warthogs, spotted hyenas, leopards, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, giraffes, Baboons, and other wildlife. Our guides will ensure to takes you to the best game viewing spots of this park.break off for lunch and in the afternoon head out for a boat cruise on the Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Enjoy great views of this great natural wonder as the Nile forces its wat through a narrow gorge before spreading to the bottom. You will also enjoy setting your eyes on the Nile crocodiles and hippos as the swim through the fresh water and sometimes catching their prey. Hike to the top of the falls for more stunning views of the falls. Overnight and dinner at the lodge.

Start your day with breakfast at the lodge and drive off to Kibale Forest National Park (approximately 6-7 hours) enjoying the beautiful countryside of this beautiful Uganda. Stop over for lunch and proceed, arrive and check in to your accommodation. You have an optional evening nature walk or relax at the lodge for next day’s activities. Dinner and overnight will be at your accommodation.

Have breakfast at the lodge and head to the park for Morning chimpanzee tracking experience. This exercise starts with briefing by the park staff about the rules for chimpanzee tracking as a team of tourists. You will soon be led into the thick forest in search for the habituated Chimps as they go about their daily activities in their natural habitat. Visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary in the afternoon for birdwatching and to learn about the different plant and butterfly species. Drive to the lodge later for overnight and dinner.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (approximately 2-3 hours) enjoying the great views of the landscape and the lush vegetation cover. Arrive in lunch hours and immediately have your meal. In the afternoon lunch a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes Edward and George. Enjoy watching schools of hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife along the channel as you sail through. Dinner and overnight stay in the park.

After breakfast at the lodge, you will start your day with an exciting morning game drive to spot wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, baboons, leopards, hyenas, warthogs. Visit the Crater Lakes region in the afternoon. Drive to the lodge later fir relaxation, dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After breakfast on this day, you will checkout at the lodge and drive to Ishasha sector of the park for Tree climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi through Kanungu district (approximately 2-3 hours). Arrive at Bwindi in the evening hours and settle in at a lodge with in the park. Dinner and night stay at the lodge.

Have breakfast very early and head to the park for Gorilla trekking experience to spend time with the gorillas. The tracking starts with briefing to be guided on what to do while in the home of the gorillas and when you meet them. The guides will soon take you to the forest in search of habituated Gorillas and this could take several hours or even a day. After meeting the Gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one full hour with them. Return to meet your guide and drive to Kisoro for dinner and overnight.

Early morning breakfast will be served at the lodge and then drive to Mgahinga Gorilla Park (about 1-2 hours) where the Gold meets the Silver.  Enjoy a trek to see the playful golden monkeys in their natural habitats. In addition to golden monkeys  Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas and colubus monkeys and several bird species. In the evening, you will visit the Batwa communities for a cultural experience. Enjoy an encounter with these short Indigenous forest people who share their traditions, norms, and customs. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Have breakfast at the lodge, check out, and embark on a drive headed to Kampala/Kigali for your departure flight.

What to To Think About On This Tour

Gorilla & Chimpanzee tracking is subject to the availability of permits, which are limited to 8 per gorilla group per day and 6 per chimpanzee track per ½ day.

Any Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits required need to be paid for upfront when booking. As soon as funds clear in our account, we will go ahead and purchase.  

Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits are always 100% non-transferable and non-refundable

The RATES are subject to change and are based on Availability with effect from July upon release of the new tariffs from Uganda Wildlife Authority and Rwanda Development Board.

On flights and land-based tours within East Africa, each passenger is limited to a maximum baggage weight of 33 pounds (15 kilograms). This includes the weight of purses and camera equipment in addition to regular luggage. Luggage restrictions are adhered to very strictly and passengers should pack their bags accordingly. Soft-sided luggage or duffels are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles and also on aircraft used throughout East Africa. Dimensions should not exceed 23 inches (58 centimetres) long x 13 inches (33 centimetres) high x 10 inches (25 centimetres) wide.
